How do I place an order with DBS?

Orders maybe be placed by calling toll free 1-888-896-3350 or 925-484-3350 or emailing orders@dbiosys.com  You may also fax in an order to 925-484-3390.

DBS’s hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (PST). All orders placed before 2:00 pm PST will be shipped the same day.

  • Please contact Customer Support immediately.
  • Do not throw away any of the product.
  • Credit will be issued for any product delivery errors caused by Diagnostic BioSystems, or if you receive any product in error.
  • Product damaged in transit will be researched and may be replaced by Diagnostic BioSystems.
  • If further action is required, a Customer Support will contact you.

  • Do not throw away any product.
  • When returning kits, you must include the entire kit to receive a credit.
  • No credit will be issued without an RMA number that will be given to you by Customer Support.
  • Product must be received by DBS within 30 days from the issuance of the RMA number.
  • No credit will be issued after the 30-day period.
  • No credit will be issued for incorrect customer orders such as:
    1. Wrong quantity ordered
    2. Wrong part number ordered

Is the HighLighter™ fully automated?

Yes. HighLighter™ is fully automated and performs all the processes automatically, from baking to counter staining (including the antigen retrieval step).

HighLighter™ can process a maximum of 36 slides at a time; each slide can be programmed with unique user-defined protocols.

Yes. HighLighter™ comes with uniquely designed slide covers and a novel kinetic energy (agitation) function that make the system the most unique in the market in terms of minimizing the micro reagent evaporation during incubation, minimum reagents usage, and evenly spreading of the reagents on the slide, which result in consistent and crisp staining.

Yes. HighLighter’s™ highly validated primary antibodies and the detection system components (HighLighter™ core kit) are available in vials that can be directly loaded onto the HighLighter™ system.

HighLighter™ completes a full 36 slides run using less than 2 liters of immuno-wash buffer and generates significantly less waste. HighLighter™ system separates waste into two containers: Biohazard and Non-hazardous.

Yes. HighLighter™ comes with 2-D data matrix code labels for the identification of patients’ slides and with an RFID reader, which identifies and controls reagent consumption.

Yes. HighLighter™ has liquid sensors for accurate reagent handling and for waste disposal to prevent overflow.

Currently, we have validated HighLighter™ for paraffin (FFPE) sections. However, HighLighter™ is compatible to process frozen sections and cytology smears.

Depending on the customer needs, Diagnostic BioSystems can provide HighLighter™ in both close or open formats.

The range of heating capabilities of the HighLighter™ is RT-110℃.

The range for dispensing volume for the reagents of the HighLighter™ is 65ul-400ul maximum. HighLighter™ uses 130ul primary antibody for the IHC application.

A maximum of 40 reagents can be used on the reagent tray in the HighLighter™.
