Dr. Bipin Gupta
PhD, MBA | Founder, CEO & CSO
Dr. Gupta founded DBS in 1994. After completing his PhD in India, he started working as Assistant Professor at Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana’s Department of Zoology; Dr. Gupta was later awarded NIH fellowship and completed his post-doctoral studies at Stanford Medical School, working as a scientist in the field of Immunopathology. He has developed numerous breakthrough products in the field of Immunohistochemistry, which are being sold all globally. He has published 24 original peer reviewed research papers in various journals all over the world and has been awarded 6 patents with about half a dozen more pending approval.
Gerald Weiss M.D.
F.C.A.P | Medical Director
Dr. Weiss is a Board Certified Pathologist (Anatomic and Clinical Pathology) with a special interest in immunohistochemistry. He has founded and directed a number of CLIA Laboratories. He is currently Director of Laboratories at Regional Medical Center of San Jose and Bioreference Laboratories in Campbell California. He serves on the Board of Directors of the California Society of Pathologists.
Marc Key
PhD | Chief Scientific Advisor
Marc Key, has over 25 years of experience in research and product development. Dr. Key has held senior positions with companies such as Dako and BioGenex Corporation. He has been responsible for R & D teams launching hundreds of products into the pathology market and holds some of the most significant patents in the field of Immunohistochemistry testing. Dr. Key holds a BS from Iowa State University, an MS from the University of Montana and a PhD from the Medical University of South Carolina.
Dr. Olga Petrauskene
Ph.D., MBA | Chief Operations Officer
Olga earned a Ph.D. in Biochemistry at Moscow State University and an Executive MBA at Santa Clara University. She holds an Executive “Certificate in Management and Leadership” from the MIT Sloan School Executive Program. In 1999-2000, she completed a postdoctoral research scholarship at Stanford University’s School of Medicine. Dr. Olga Petrauskene is a biochemist and an accomplished life science leader with 20 years of product development and commercialization experience in molecular diagnostics. From 2003-2004, she served as the chair of the first Applied Biosystems’ Scientific Advisory Council, working with Applied Biosystems’ executive team and top scientists on company’s strategic directions.
Ananda Kumar M
President : (Asia & Emerging Markets) – Sales, Marketing & BD
Ananda Kumar joined DBS team to strengthen executive management for the international market. Ananda comes with over 15 years of Sales, Marketing, Brand management and BD experience in pharmaceutical and clinical diagnostics market in India, Asia, Africa and Middle East. Prior to joining DBS he was the General Manager-Sales, Marketing & International Business Development at BioGenex Life Sciences. Ananda Holds Masters in Bio-Technology and an Executive MBA from IIM -Kolkata.
Wolfgang Vogel
Business Development and Sales Europe
Wolfgang Vogel has more than 25 years of professional experience in the instrumentation and consumable business targeting the life science, pharmaceutical and chemical industry. He successfully held several positions in the field of Product Management, Business Development, International Sales and General Management. Wolfgang enjoys working with different stakeholders across multiple disciplines and cultures and turning business strategies into executable operational plans. Wolfgang has a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
Alejandro Herrera M.
Technical Sales Manager
Alejandro Herrera is a very experienced professional with more than 20 years of experience in the IHC market and extensive technical knowledge. Alejandro brings with him the hands on knowledge of daily laboratory work and IHC/Histology market in the Mexican and Latin American market. Alejandro was head of Immunopathology lab in the Hospital Juarez De Mexico for more than 10 yrs.
